Show Use Your Papers, US Style!
January 25th, 2007OK, so it’s Jan 25th and everyone is talking about the president’s state of the union speech but personally I could care less what that moron has to say. I would rather concentrate on important issues, not “pie in the sky” delusions and outright lies (get it Mr. Bush?) The one news story that really grabbed my attention this week was the new law that goes into effect today (I think) requiring anyone coming back into the US from Canada, Mexico or the Caribbean (or traveling to) via an airplane to have a valid US Passport. Remember now that for all the time before all you have needed was a US drivers license or birth certificate to move back and forth between these countries, up until now. So why did this news story catch my attention? Because it is the beginning of the end for US citizen’s freedom! By implementing this law we are on the fast track to “show us your papers”.
So you say “ah another conspiracy theorist” but I beg to differ. I, unlike so many others, have no delusions of “bad guys in the shadows”. I have no inbred thoughts of the bogey man waiting in the wings. No, I look at facts and make an educated decision about any topic and folks this one is clear as a Bahama ocean!
For years now the government has wanted a national id system to track each and every one of its citizens moves. They have tried many times before to implement a national id card and have botched it so bad the US public and civil liberty organizations have cried foul. But, to their credit, they have become more sophisticated in their “old age” and have finally found an excuse to implement this agenda in a way that causes no more grief than a bump in the road. That excuse my friends is international terrorism!
“Oh, come on now” you say. This law will help our government root out the terrorists coming into the US! Sorry, you would be very wrong. All of the 911 terrorists had valid passports when they arrived in the US and in fact none of them were US citizens. So what exactly does this new law accomplish? It begins the process of creating a federally controlled database of all US citizens that can be cross-referenced to just about any other database you may be part of (think bank records, credit card transactions, grocery purchases, etc, etc). It begins the process of controlling YOUR life down to the penny! Remember also that the law mandates that as of 2008 even those people (US citizens) traveling by car between the US and Canada or Mexico will need a US passport to cross the border. Hell, there have even been rumors of random “checkpoints” within the US for “papers”. Sound like Nazi Germany or Stalin era Russia? Sure does to me but in fact it is the Untied States of America, circa 2007!
What does this so-called “national” database achieve? Well think about this. What if your passport and the information it contained was cross-referenced against your banking records and / or your ATM records? What if all of your purchases at your local grocery and hardware store were referenced against it. Not only would the government know every detail about what you buy and where you go, they would also have current picture of you, along with a current address so they can find you! Now to some this might not seem to be a big deal but if you look below the surface some scary facts may appear!
So let’s say you made $100k last year but you are one of those that likes to “fudge” their tax return (by the way, if you read up on it, federal taxes are illegal, but that’s another rant). So you claim $75k on your 1040 but the computer checks all of your bank records and sees you have had more than $100k come into your bank account …….. BUZZ, AUDIT! Now let’s say you happen to travel to Mexico on business once or twice a month and you happen to buy food storage bags at your local store in the “economy” size. 2 + 2 = “drug dealer”, whether you are or aren’t. Don’t laugh, there have been people detained by the FBI for buying too much charcoal at their favorite food mart and have had to face terrorism charges! You can laugh all you want but the more the government knows about your personal life and then ATTEMPTS to add 2 + 2, the more people will find themselves on the wrong side of an interrogation table! History has proven time after time that when the government adds up 2 + 2 they usually come up with 27!
So then you say “wait a minute, they already have a database of us via our social security numbers!” AHH WRONG! Your social security number was handed out to you at (more than likely) a young age and if you don’t happen to work at a “real job” that reports all of your income that data is worthless to them! “What about driver licenses? Well think of all the people that don’t drive (hell NYC is full of them), again an unreliable database! One side note to the drivers license issue: NJ has just announced that NO ONE will be allowed to renew their drivers license without a social security number. Nothing in place today has the effectiveness of a US passport (for their means that is)! So what if you never want to leave the US? Well those people are exactly the “sheep” the US government wants! Why in heavens name would any red-blooded American citizen EVER want to leave the continental US? (asinine when you see it in type isn’t it?) …. get my point?
One other “side bar” method to get you to comply was noted in a recent TV advertisement run buy Visa. The commercial showed a “wonderful” assembly line of people buying their morning coffee. When one person paid via cash the whole assembly line crashed to a screaming halt! Talk about mind control! They want you to believe that using cash, the good old American sawbuck, makes doing business a pain! They try to sell “ease and convenience” when in fact they are selling complete tracking of your finances through databases that may be accessible to our government! In essence they are telling you (subconsciously) that using the American dollar, the thing every human in the US works their butt off for is useless and a hindrance to productivity and business!
Folks the government is attempting to invade every ounce of your life and breath. Think about all the ways your movements are being tracked each and every day. From your “discount card” at the grocery store to the GPS systems in your car and cellphone, from your phone records to your tax statements each and every day your “file” swells with information that can be used (or misused) by anyone with the power to access it. If you have any respect for America as an institution (as founded by our forefathers) you have got to believe that our government is currently controlled by the mass marketing machine of big business and they want to keep YOU in debt and “on the grid” (to make them money) as long as possible! So you have to ask yourself a question. Do you want to be a “slave to the machine” your whole life or do you want to live life the best you can!
Say NO to identification by the federal government and YES to freedom! Pay cash whenever you can and when those juicy new credit card offers show up in the mail BURN THEM!
