Just My Rant

Spring is just around the corner, even though where I am there is 2 foot of fresh snow. People’s minds tend to wander about this time because they know the flowers will be blooming soon and warm wonderful days are just around the corner. I have to wonder though how many Americans minds will wander off and ignore the fact that this is the third time the Bush administration has allowed one of their cronies to take the wrap for their underhanded games. The third time their ineptitude will be dropped at the feet of one poor slob that will take the fall, when all along the intelligent people in the US know damn well who is at the heart of all this nonsense!

First we had Michael Brown, the ’sap’ of the hurricane Katrina debacle. The US public said ‘OK, they hired a moron and now he is gone’. Then we had the catastrophe of Iraq (don’t even get me started on that one) and somehow the US ‘public’ was able to boil it down to Donald Rumsfeld. OK, again we had a sub par person running the show and again the US public got their ‘taste for blood’ satisfied by his resignation. Now we have Alberto Gonzales playing the ’sad sack’ for what appears to be politically motivated firings of US Attorneys but honestly, is there anyone that doesn’t know this all came from the ‘dirty tricks machine’ of the Bush administration? Seriously, who is stupid enough to believe these three ‘bobble heads’ were working without a ‘net’, running these sections of OUR government without direct orders from the White House?

I am old enough to remember the ‘games’ of the Nixon administration and I have to be honest with you; This administration (Bush II) makes Nixon look like a 2nd rate amateur! They have lied through their teeth hundreds of times to save their own asses while they throw their cronies onto the funeral pyre and not once have they even so much as shed a tear! These people will eventually go down in history as the most vicious villains to ever set foot in an office of power!

So let’s face some facts here and stop acting like ‘all’s well in US’ville’. Fact number one: GW BUSH is a lying thief that will sacrifice ANYONE in his inner circle to save his own ass! Fact number two: Carl Rove might as well be the anti Christ because this lying piece of dung will turn on ANY of his cronies in a bleeding second just to save his ugly white ass!

One small glimmer of hope I saw today was the Mayor of Salt Lake City, Rocky Anderson, who had the BALLS to come out an say what needed to be said. Plain and simple he called a con a con and said this about our ‘fearless leader’:

“If impeachment were every justified, this certainly is the time,” says Anderson, “This president, by engaging in such incredible abuses of power, breaches of trust with both the Congress and the American people, and misleading us into this tragic and unbelievable war, the violation of treaties, other international law, our constitution, our own domestic laws, and then his role in heinous human rights abuses; I think all of that together calls for impeachment.”

And no this is not some liberal on a tear here, he holds no love for those democrats that don’t have the balls to face the facts. To them he said:

“The fact that anybody would say that impeachment is off the table when we have a president who has been so egregious in his violations of our constitution, a president who asserts a unitary executive power, that is absolutely chilling.”

Now THIS is a true American patriot. A man that understands what this country is about. So I have to ask you, what the HELL is your excuse? Why do you allow a corrupt administration that cares NOTHING about you keep up with their lies, treason and treachery?
